Holding out for tomorrow
Tomorrow is the big day. I’m super ready for it to be here. I’m sure that once it is tomorrow I will be ready for the next step! But, argh! I’m ready. It’s just a few hours away.
Just thinking about, tomorrow…. haha. There’ll be sun. Tomorrow, tomorrow!!
Tomorrow I end birth control and Mariyah my foster baby will hopefully become Jacqueline Ruth Turner-Young and then in six more months hopefully she will be Jacqueline Ruth Turner. Named by her future father who loves the name Jackie and for her future grandma Ruthanne.
Mariyah has a long story for such a small baby. She entered into foster care in February 2014 at two months old. She was born December 9th, 2013 to Amanda Leandra Reeves. Amanda was 23 years old at the time of her delivery.
There have been a few set backs. Which has brought us here, waiting for St. Patrick’s day to hear the judges ruling of termination and a hopeful immediate adoption. Maryiah is 15 months old now. She has just started walking and loves to take baths. She got her first hair cut this month and her ears pierced. Her birth mother wanted that for her.
She loves to snuggle her baby toys. She likes to talk to everyone and point to her things. She has been to Hawaii already. She loves the beach and going on walks in her stroller. She is a sweetheart and deserves the very best that all of us who love her can give. That includes her birth family and her future adoptive family.
Tomorrow, tomorrow. I’ll love ya tomorrow. It’s only a day away!
